I have many problems. As do we all. But my problems, they are mine and I shall deal with them.

I'm still fighting with the govt. security. I don't want to go into it, as I'm finally calm again after bawling on the phone with them. Argh.

My yoga client cancelled as she had appointments to deal with (she had to renew her massage license). His Lordship took the day off as it isn't busy and he had an early dentist appointment. So we went to the grocery store after he got home and I have foodstuffs for the week.

The other mosaic project? Well I'm on the last of it (I promise, I'll post pics when I'm done), but it's not going to be as easy as the other two tubes. For those I could keep the tiles on the mesh and just place them. This one requires that I cut everything apart as it's offset. In order to make it work and look pleasing to the eye, I've made a grid on excel and will plot out my pattern. No freestyling for moi!

That's all I've got today.

Carrying on!

Day 23 - What tradition are you grateful for?

Everyone has their own traditions, customs, ways of doing things. This time of year? At my house we have the tradition of making Pitzels (or Pizzelle). It's not Christmas without them!

We are still pretty wiped out from the craft show. I think today will be a slow day. I'm trying to download an app on my very old tablet so I can watch the Vikings game. Seems on the west coast we are forced to watch the 49'ers even though...yeah. I'll be putting a pork roast in the crock pot and we're having pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. Maybe the boyz are coming over...I never know until about an hour or so. My own fault as I've always told them there will be food for them on Sundays. Usually they show up.

Happy Sunday!

Day 22 - What story are you grateful for?

Kids, this is so ambiguous. I'm going with fanfic and I'm going with all my favorite fanfic. All of it. So there. I'm grateful for ALL the fanfic writers out there, who keep producing new stuff for me to read. I adore you all!

Today was His Lordship's big craft fair. It was a rousing success! We got home about 1/2 an hour ago, everything is put away and we have bucks, or should I say he has bucks.

I'm tired, my back is killing me and I'm hungry. So I'm outta here!

Day 21 - What song are you most grateful for?

This is like answering what book I'm grateful for? It changes, it's in flux. Today? Today I am grateful that I haven't heard 24/7 Christmas music yet.

Now don't get me wrong; I like Christmas music. But it's still NOVEMBER people!

Yesterday was another good day - I like good days. Got up early and went grocery shopping. Had my 9am yoga client and we had a great session. Then I had a massage. It was glorious and I was, to my mind, surprisingly not tense! Had a Thai noodle and shrimp bowl with peanut sauce for lunch and then spent the rest of the afternoon luxuriating in the afterglow of the massage. Not every day is like that, but when it is....ahhhhh.

I slept in today as we have to be up at the buttcrack of dawn tomorrow to go to His Lordship's one and only craft fair of the season. He's staged everything in the living room in readiness to pack up the car tomorrow morning. It should be fun! Even if it does snow - brrrr.

Hope everyone is having a splendid Friday!

Hi Kids,

I thought I'd post something fun and positive - for a change! Ha!

Saturday I watched "The Great British Baking Show" (on PBS in 'murica it's called 'baking show' and not 'bake off' due to copyrighting from Pillsbury - don't get me started). I've seen it all before, but still enjoy watching. I still can't deal with Candace and her pouty lipsticked lips. Ugh.

Shower and then it was MINI adventure time! We drove down (up?) to Mindenville which is just south of Carson City and hit the giant antique store. I'd been once before and just knew His Lordship would be in hog heaven. Kids, we were in that store for over 3 hours - it's that big. I bought a jaspar egg and now my collection is complete at 5 eggs. His Lordship made some purchases that he plans to turn into crafty things.

We wanted to eat at the Full Belly Deli, but they weren't open. Instead we went to a pupusa place in a strip mall. What a great find! The pupusa's were large and delicious. We were smart and ordered one plate (3 pupusa's; one bean and cheese, one chorizo and one shrimp) we also ordered two tamales de elote! They were the closest to the green corns I grew up with I've ever found. Yum! I love going to off the wall places and making great finds!

We drove home via the new southeast connector road instead of the freeway and it was a nice drive as well. Almost as fast as the freeway without all the hassle. Plus snowy egrets! There are wetlands on the east side!

We were so stuffed from the late lunch, we just picked around 8pm. We watched some mindless tv, I can't even remember what.

Sunday we did some chores. Sadly the game I wanted to watch wasn't televised. It ended in a tie, I'm guessing it was a real nailbiter. I don't watch much football, but I do enjoy my Vikings and the Superbowl. I have a friend in Tucson and we text during the game.

I made an ice cream cake for dessert - blackberry of course. We have so many blackberries! His Lordship made some refrigerator jam which was delicious! I made a big pot of Italian sausage and pepper pasta for dinner and, of course, only The Princelings showed up! It's always that way. ;)

It was nice to see them and they are well. They left shortly after 10 and we closed up shop for the night.

'Twas a good weekend!

Hiya,

Today is the first Tuesday of the month and I'll be going to the Knitted Knockers group at 2pm. Looking forward to that. Probably I'll go to noon yoga. I also have to hit the bank.

I finished watching Stranger Things 2 and it was AWESOME! I even binged the Beyond thing afterwards. Don't watch that first though...spoilers ho!

We are up to Episode 4 on Star Trek Continues and it *ahem* continues to be such fun!

Princelings came over for dinner last night. Seems The Heir is on the job hunt again. Adulting, not for the faint of heart. They've lived together for a week and it seems to be in the honeymoon phase. We'll see how it goes. There is a third person living with them, so hopefully he's a good buffer. The plan is to go grocery shopping with them tomorrow. They're definition of plans is a lot looser than mine, so....we'll see!

Tomorrow is also my mom's 82nd birthday. I made cupcakes and the boys said they'd come over too. Again, hope springs. I'm curious if she will place them at all. In her mind, they are still babies.

His Lordship has been working everyday. He gets one day off after working for two weeks. So generous, his company. He should be done in a month and then back to his 6-2 schedule. He says he doesn't miss being on a press anymore. I'm just glad he doesn't have to work nights!

I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone is enjoying this fine fall.

It's a crafty Tuesday and a harvest day as well.

I've got so many things I need/want to do, I was struck with complete ennui earlier. I finally decided to get busy with my crafting. His Lordship does a craft show in early December at a local high school, sponsored by the high school bands. I've tried to push some of my crocheting, but it hasn't gone over too well with the high school kids. This year I'm making scarves in their school colors of navy/forest. We'll see.

The colors are a little off in this pic as I had to use a bright light to make them show up. I'm going to make 4, in different styles.

And His Lordships's garden produced a massive pepper harvest today! So very pretty!

Is mending considered a craft? It should. In this disposable society that we live in, mending is an art form.

I have three rock eggs that I display and use! For mending! Clever, eh?
