It wasn't the "big" storm predicted, that's supposed to happen tonight. Sigh. I really, really dislike snow down in the valley. People just don't know how to drive, the city doesn't have enough equipment to deal with it (as it doesn't happen every.single.year and, I can't emphasize this enough, SNOW BELONGS IN THE MOUNTAINS.

That said, I had to get up at o'dark thirty so I could get to an 8am dentist appt. And drive carefully IN THE SNOW. I have this teeny little MINI Cooper S. Yes, it has front wheel drive, but it's teeny. And what with the snow blowing and the ginormous trucks all around...no can see me!

Dentist called me good. I made it home safely. All is well. Except the "BIG" storm is supposed to happen tonight. We'll see.

Stupid snow.

I don’t like driving in snow either. People always go too fast and think they’re going to brake like they would if there was no snow!

That's how people drive here as well. It's scary out there and I'm so glad I don't have to drive in it most of the time!

Snow gives us those problems here, too - we don't get it every year, sometimes it is only an inch or so - and so we don't cope well with it!

I smiled when you mentioned your mini as being teeny tiny. We think of modern minis as being almost the size of a family car, having travelled often in the original minis in the past.

Modern mini on the left, 1970 mini on the right!

I much prefer the one on the left! Old minis were cramped and not a terribly comfortable ride.

Our MINI is a 4 seater, 2 door. But we took the back seats out (called a rear seat delete - who knew?) and we pushed the front seats way back (we're both tall). Once you are in, it's quite roomy, but it has such a low profile and honestly, big trucks just don't "see" us.

Snow belongs in the mountains. So let it be written....

I hate driving in the snow and I grew up in Wisconsin.

Be safe, love.

His Lordship grew up in Michigan, I've spent some time in both Wisconsin (Eau Claire) and Minneapolis. Nope. Don't like driving in the snow. Not even a little bit.

We only had a few flakes here ... although some people still cancelled hospital apts. Although my brother lives 80 miles away and they had quite a bit of snow. Very pretty - until you have to drive in it.

Snow is beautiful on Christmas morning (as long as you don't have to drive in it), otherwise it belongs up in the mountains.

Stay safe, sweets! Snow is terrible to drive in - makes everything a stupid mess!

S'all good. And yes, it's terrible to drive in especially if you don't get mounds of it every year. Our infrastructure just can't handle it and then people are dumb about it. Bleh.

Snowy, icy weather fills me with dread when we're on the roads. It only takes one distracted driver and the roads are full of them...

Between smart phones, those on board dash cam things, cars trying to drive themselves....nope. Just a giant bowl of nopeflakes. Snow belongs in the mountains!

My Mini in the snow was always a bit scary. Now I have the Subaru which is higher up so I feel a bit safer.

We've had big trucks/SUV's and now the MINI. It's fantastic to drive on dry roads. Not so much on snow/ice. I just stay home because I can!
