I guess I forgot to post yesterday...coulda sworn I did, but oh well! These things happen.

I love Saturdays that start with the "Great British Bake Off" and coffee. Doesn't matter that I've seen all the episodes/seasons (except the new holiday one, I have to catch that). It's also nice to wake up to a pot of coffee already made, thanks to His Lordship still getting up too early for words. ;)

The early part of the day was spent tidying up between watching PBS shows and wrapping a few last minute presents. At 3pm we had to start getting ready for "party day" as His Lordship called it. We had an open house and a dinner to attend. Both were fun and lovely. We got home at a reasonable hour too. Maybe someday I'll have a party here, but not this year.

His Lordship actually slept until 8:30 this morning! That is waay late for him! I've got my tablet all set up to watch the Vikings at 10 (it's not televised here because stupid west coast teams are stupid). I'll text with my fellow fan in Tucson and all will be well. I've got laundry started (I don't want to do it tomorrow - no). We have a few food type things to deliver this afternoon and it'll be a quiet day. The boyz have told me they'll be over tomorrow 'noonish'. We shall see!

And it's Festivus today! So air your grievances around the pole and a Happy Festivus to the Rest of Us!!!!

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate I guess. I want to like egg nog, but I just can't.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Wrap with special paper.

3. Colored or white lights?
Either

4. Do you hang a mistletoe?
I have teeny stocking with real mistletoe attached that I put in the doorway between the kitchen and the living room. Honestly? It's too narrow for two people to get through at the same time, so it's really just deocration.

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Definitely in December, usually when I can convince His Lordship to get the stuff down!

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Ham! Because...ham!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
Getting together with family, making pitzels and just being.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
You know, I honestly don't remember.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? 10. How do you decorate your tree?
I have two ways; all the delicate silver and gold ornaments we got before kids and the "toys" or stuff the kids made. This year it's the toys as many of them came from mom.

11. Snow - love it or hate it? It's lovely in the mountains and It would be nice on Christmas Eve but gone by noon on Christmas day. Just sayin'.

12. Can you ice skate?
I can ice skate, I prefer to roller skate.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
It was the year I got the fancy roller skates. The pristine white boots, the slick wheels. I was so fancy!

14. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
Pitzels!

15. What's the most important things about the holidays?
Having the boys come over on Christmas Eve!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
We make pitzels but that's way before Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we eat tamales, drink beer and watch "A Christmas Story".

17. What tops your Christmas tree?
A silver spire for the gold/silver tree and an angel for the "toy" tree.

18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?
Giving!

19. Favorite Christmas song?
Religious..."What Child is This?". Non religious.... "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas".

20. Favorite Christmas movie?
"White Christmas"

21. What do you leave for Santa?
We left milk and whatever cookies we made. And baby carrots for the reindeer. Now we just put out the dish and cup. No kiddies at our house!
