Memories - I Haz Them

I have two good birthday memories. The first was just a random birthday, not a milestone i.e. 40th or like that. We had planned to go out to eat, I think to Macaroni Grill. We spent the day cleaning house, taking down the tree (we usually take down the tree on my birthday Jan. 3) and just putting the house to rights. I was the last one in the shower.

I kept hearing all this bumping and noise. I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. His Lordship stuck his head in the door and told me to come out when I was ready, we had to go soon!

I came out of my room to a houseful of people! My first ever surprise party! And boy was I surprised ~ especially since he got me to clean up the house for my own party. Sneaky guy. It was tons of fun. Everyone brought something, my friend who made our wedding cake made my birthday cake (delish!) and we had close to 40 people and more kids in my teeny little house. What a hoot!

The second happened in 2008 when we went to Disneyland over the break and I was in Disneyland on my birthday! Still makes me squee! That was a great trip and some great memories.
