We had a terrific Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and it's just been splendid all around. As I said, we did get a new computer and it's finally up and running.
Christmas Eve was terrific. Kids came over, we ate tamales, drank beer and we played Millennial Loteria (which was hysterical) and then we played dominoes. That was fun too. The Heir's girlfriend showed up as her family "sucks". I got her a bag and she was so pleased! That was nice. We all watched "A Christmas Story" and I think it's the first time in years we all stayed awake for it! Fun times indeed. I think His Lordship and I crapped out around midnight.
We all slept in on Christmas day. That is so very, very nice. Everyone wants prezzies, but no one wants to get up early. I made savory monkey bread and we had mimosas for breakfast. It was a great Christmas. The Heir was supposed to go over to the gf's house for a bit, but it never happened. Funny aside, I guess when the gf told her parents that I had gotten her the purse, they ran out to Walmart to get The Heir a gift. I laugh. Evidently her parents are well to do and we are...well, we are us. Again, I laugh.
Dinner was great. W came over, everyone had a great time. Sadly, His Lordship had to work the next day so we kicked everyone out by 10:30pm. I love those kids, but they really needed to go home. I'm used to my house being clean - heh.
The rest of the week was fairly normal; quiet. His Lordship had to work and worked on the computer slowly (that we got for our present) and I just stayed off. I have a tablet, but for whatever reason I have a terrible time posting on it. I got a new one for Christmas, but haven't used it yet. I like to savor my gifts. Also, I have the old one set so I can watch football and don't want to monkey with it just yet. It's okay.
His Lordship has another 4 day weekend. It's amateur time, my kids work at restaurants, I told them not to worry about coming over. I just want them to be safe. I told them what we were doing and if they could work us in; great! If not, that's okay too.
Yesterday I got all the makings for lasagna prepped for today. Just kind of took it easy. Today I've vacuumed and am doing laundry. His Lordship is out with W returning W's gifts. Football starts in about 1/2 an hour and I'll text with my pal in Tucson. Then I'll make the lasagna and all will be right with the world.
