That is a Maple-Pumpkin Stack Cake! The cake is very soft and moist, the directions call to make 4 individual layers, but I cheat, make two and cut them in half. The filling is whipping cream with maple syrup. Topped with toasted pecans! It's very good, and very rich!
It is/was! The recipe is from a 'Cook's Country' magazine; one of the two dozen magazines I used to get when we first moved my mom up here. I love this cake!
