I woke up at 6am and decided to read a bit, grabbed my tablet, let my eyes adjust and read for about ½ an hour before drifting back to sleep.
I had the alarm set for 7am and let it snooze on and off for about an hour or so. When I finally turned it off I grabbed my tablet and continued to read. I got out of bed about 8:45, got dressed and went to the kitchen for coffee and oatmeal. That’s when I realized that Thursday is grocery day and I hadn’t made a list or anything. Ack.
After I ate and looked at the internet, I got my act together and made my meal plan and grocery list. I decided that I wasn’t going to rush, so I took a long, hot shower. Heaven.
Got to the grocery store around 11ish, shopped, came home, unloaded everything and had lunch. I got all my yoga stuff together as I teach a Thursday 4pm Simply Yoga class and then I read some more.
At 3:15, I changed into my yoga clothes, and off to the studio. I had 7 students in class yesterday and we did a pretty challenging vinyasa. I showed all the necessary modifications and it was a great class (if I do say so myself). I know I was tired afterward. Teaching yoga isn’t like taking yoga at.all. I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed it and I know they got a good workout.
I left the studio around 5:15 or so after the next teacher came in and I headed home. His Lordship was futzing in the container garden, turning soil over in preparation for winter. I checked the internets (still there) and then sat on the couch. Big mistake. It took an act of Congress to get me up, clothes changed and dinner started. It was fairly easy; beef stroganoff, egg noodles and a salad. His Lordship helped me clean up the kitchen afterward and then it was really and truly couch time.
We watched TV until 8pm and then he wandered off to work on his crafts. I turned off the TV and just read. It was nice and cozy in the living room with the fireplace going. We are so old, at 9:30 we started shutting down and getting ready to move to the bedroom. This is what happens in winter, it gets dark early and we are tired people, ready to sleep.
By now my class was “kicking in” and I took some precautionary Aleve so I could sleep. Did my night time rituals and then in bed with my tablet. I always try to play two games of Mah Jongg before sleeping. His Lordship turned the light off right at 10pm and was snoring in my ear at 10:02pm. That tells you how tired we (he) are. I shut the tablet off at 10:30 and it was lights out!

The earlier darkness does make it easier, though.
You sound much more relaxed now that you don't have to go to work at that school anymore!

What I find most amusing is that some of the teachers (I have connections) are asking the new guy to do stuff I said couldn't be done (within the district parameters) and he says he can't. Bwahahahahahaha. Example, print from iPads. The district doesn't allow that capability - yet. They may. The IT dept only directly "supports" PC's. And the schools keep buying more and more iPads. They don't even have a policy in place to fix/repair/replace broken ones. No, I don't miss it AT ALL.
And sleep is the bomb.

A fireplace and a book sure sound lovely though.

A book and the fireplace are the best! And a cup of tea!
