Got this from [personal profile] kazzy_cee. I need to do something besides watch tv all day!

1. What did you do in 2018 that you'd never done before?
I taught yoga out of my home.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really do resolutions. I have plans to be the best me I can be in 2019!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, my mom.

5. What countries did you visit?
No countries, but we went to Wyoming to visit friends, then to the Grand Teton National Park/Jackson Hole Wyoming on the way home and we went to San Diego to see my sister get married on Mission Beach.

6. What would you like to have in 2019 that you lacked in 2018?
We are planning on taking more road trip type vacations beginning this year.

7. What date from 2018 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Well, the day my mom died, but I'm hopeful that soon enough I'll just remember the month. Like I do for my dad. I'd much rather remember their birthdates than their death dates.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Saving up all the money I made teaching yoga to help finance out trip to Hawaii in 2020!

9. What was your biggest failure?
Hmmm, having the yoga studio "...go in a different direction..." without me. In essence I was fired. Never happened before. Pretty devastating.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope.

11. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
His Lordship for keeping me on the straight and narrow.

12. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Politicians and politics....and the owners of the yoga studio.

13. Where did most of your money go?
Just day to day living I guess.

14. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Our trip to Wyoming. I haven't seen those friends in almost 20 years! It was fantastic!

15. What song will always remind you of 2018?
Honestly can't think of one.

16. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
I'm a pretty happy person. ii. thinner or fatter? Sadly, fatter. I'm a stress eater and it's been a stressful few months. iii. richer or poorer? Richer, but not because we did anything. I was really afraid my mom out live longer than her money would hold out. Sadly, that did not happen.

17. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I wish I hadn't stopped reading books in October. It was just hard.

18. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wallowing. It's okay for a bit, but one needs to get off the stick as it were.

19. How did you spend Christmas?
Boys came over, it was grand!

20. What LJ users did you meet?
[personal profile] eurydice72 came to town for a visit! She was here at a convention and I got to see her again! Such fun!!!!

21. Did you fall in love in 2019?
Always in love with His Lordship! :)

22. How many one-night stands?
None.

23. What were your favourite TV programmes?
"The Great British Bake Off" is a good one. I watched the end of "Longmire" on Netflix and we are now really enjoying "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" on Amazon Prime!

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I don't do hate although there are people I won't talk to.

25. What was the best book you read?
I can't say just one. I did, finally, get to read Antonia Fraser's "Mary, Queen of Scots". I love all books!

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I don't think I had one this year.

27. What did you want and get?
I'm not going with just Christmas...I wanted to see my kids more and I'm very blessed that I got see them almost every week.

28. What did you want and not get?
Hmm, I wanted to keep working at the yoga studio but now am glad that I don't. My world got a whole lot bigger and brighter.

29. What was your favourite film of this year?
We saw "Bohemian Rhapsody" and it was spectacular.

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 57. I'll be 58 in a few days, so it happens fairly quickly. I think I got taken out to dinner with the kids. Same this year - I hope!

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Hmmm, again, I with I hadn't wallowed quite as much. But other than that...it wasn't bad.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2018?
I pretty much live in yoga pants and tops!

33. What kept you sane?
His Lordship and yoga.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Doesn't really apply...

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
The midterm elections. I pushed all the young people I know to get out and vote! Our country is practically divided right down the middle and it's bad. Bad I tell you.

36. Who did you miss?
I miss the mom I used to have 20 years ago.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
I met some lovely, crafty people at the Knitted Knocker meeting I attend once a month. They are great people.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2018:
That I can do it and do it well.

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?, Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very fright'ning me! (Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro magnifico..." Which was being analysed by some dons from one of the universities on a programme about the song on the TV. It was hilarious and so silly - it means NOTHING! It sounds good..... :) I'm keeping this from [personal profile] kazzy_cee because it's perfect!

40. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Still don't do resolutions. Be healthy!
