My goodness time flies. Reading first:

24. Geek Love by Katherine Dunn
I'll be honest, I picked this book because of the name of the author. I used to work at Katherine Dunn Elementary...no relation to the author. Heh. Now you'd think that this book might be about techie, hipstery types. Wrong. Think circus. It was quite the book, let me tell you. It could be a bit squicky at times, but I think it's worth the read.

25. The Elite by Kiera Cass
2nd book in the Selection series. Moved the plot ahead a bit. Since I know the ending (how can you not when the books are old?), it was a bit formulaic. Still enjoyed it and plan to read the 3rd when it comes available.

I just started Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly. I had it on my hold list for about 4 months so I'm hoping for a good read. Seems to be another WWII/France story. We'll see!

In other news, all is well. Boyz are good, His Lordship is looking forward to planting (it's really cold and windy today), I'm keeping busy with my two steady clients and life continues apace.

I was so addicted to The Selection series even though they're pretty straight forward and little is surprising. I felt like I was reliving the early "reality TV" days with it lmao.

I was assigned to read Geek Love in my English 101 class in college. It is pretty messed up. Good though.

It is very "Bachelor-esque", isn't it? Saying this after never having watched the shows, but knowing about it.

They seems to be really popular on the library website, I always have to put the next book on hold!

Very messed up. Like watching a train wreck, I couldn't stop reading!

I googled the Geek Love book and it sounds like one of the seasons of American Horror Story, tbh. Not at all what I thought it would be about from the title.

It really is! It also reminds me a bit of the early seasons of Real World/Road Rules as well. I love all the reality show goodness because I loved reality shows back in their early days. I had so much fun reading the series because of this lol.

They really are! I had to put them on hold at my library as well. I hope Kiera Cass produces more "reality show" type books in the future even though that'd end up being like, why is she always writing reality TV?! BUT SHE DOES IT SO GOOD.

Exactly so! And yeah, I was confused a bit at first. Heh.
