I'm so tired today. I think I'll nap.
Alarm went off at 7:30, I hit the snooze bar a “few” times. Heh. Honestly, I have the weirdest dreams in those little 7 minute increments.
Last summer I received a book called “Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy” by Sarah Ban Breathnach. It was always my goal to start using it in coordination with a meditation practice. No time like the new year, especially since it’s set up to start on January 1st!
As such, once I take care of any bodily needs, I set myself up in bed, turn on the reading light, get my timer set on my tablet (I’m up to 7 minutes!), center myself and read the days entry. After reading, I turn off the light, turn on the timer and quietly reflect on the reading. When my mind starts to wander (and boy does it wander), I concentrate on my breathing. Right now my goal is to not ‘startle’ when the timer goes off. I started the beginning of the year with 5 minutes and have worked up to 7. I have to say, I startled this morning. Oh well!
Coffee and breakfast, internet.
Got dressed and watched some shows On Demand (I love that!). Crocheted some boobs (for Knitted Knockers that meets once a month).
Made a smoothie for lunch, crocheted more, watched a movie. At 2pm I got ready to go to the yoga studio. One of my fellow teachers is also training to be a Reiki master and I said I’d help him by letting him practice on me. I’ll let you look up Reiki if you are interested. It was okay. An hour of calm music, nice smelling oils and energy work. I doubt I’d pay for it, I’d rather have a massage. But ymmv.
Got ready for class and taught my 4:30 Yin class. After class, cleaned the studio, did the bookwork, came home. Made a salad and looked to make sure the internet was still there.
After dinner and cleaning the kitchen, we watched old movies on TCM and I crocheted more boobs! Bed at 10pm. Read for a bit until my eyes blurred and nighty night!

Meditating, you are aware of your surroundings. Example, you are meditating and you hear a car start honking. You acknowledge that you heard it and continue on with your meditation. Startling means you are no long aware. It should be more a gentle nudge, the alarm.
I was better this morning. Still at 7 minutes!
