It was a splendid Christmas! Both boys came over and spent the night, we watched bad movies, drank lots of beer and ate too much. The Major Award cookies were a hit!

I think we finally got opening presents around 10am; after breakfast but before mimosas! Everyone seemed happy. Naps were had, we watched "Die Hard" (yes, we consider it a Christmas movie) and then we ate more and drank more. The boys left around 9:30pm and we were tucked away by 10pm.

His Lordship had to work today but I met up with The Spare as we had some returning to do. Poor kid. He thought he was being such a good Santa and bought these really nice slippers for His Lordship. Too bad there were way too small. And the lovely bottle of scented lotion he got for me? Somehow the bottle broke into a zillion pieces (there was glass all over). He was so bummed!

I picked him up and we hit the mall to return the slippers and get his money back. He was very unhappy about returning the lotion and insisted that he would just buy me a new bottle. Okay, I wasn't arguing. Then we hit Total Wine and he got His Lordship these little bottles of outerspace vodka that he was coveting.

I took him to get food, then dropped him back home. That broken lotion was bugging me, so I stopped at the other store closer to my house and I returned it. I got some body spray in the same scent and it's a giant win! Christmas is saved!

The crowds and traffic weren't bad, but they weren't great either. Now I'm home, tired and ready to veg out.

I hope everyone had a terrific holiday!

Of course Die Hard is a Christmas movie! Plus, Alan Rickman...

Did you know it was his first movie!!?? I loves me some original Die Hard!

Yes, I knew. I'm a huge AR fan. If you haven't seen it yet, he plays a (dead) romantic lead in Truly, Madly, Deeply.

**happy sigh**

Also, Bruce Willis is pretty cool in the first Die Hard - might have to rewatch tonight. 'Tis the season!

Sounds like a good Christmas! I screwed up Youngest Cees presents and bought a couple of things he doesn’t really want. He was OK about it so we’re buying him something he does want instead this week :)

It's always something, huh?

It worked out in the end and I got to spend another afternoon with the boy. It was nice.

That sounds like a very good Christmas - well, apart from the broken bottle - poor lad. At least the too-small slippers were easily solved.

It all worked out in the end. And I got to spend another afternoon with the boy! That was the best part!
