The GoT books are very reminiscent of the Tolkien trilogy as far as world building goes. I do enjoy that. His Lordship tells me the show is quite...violent. He knows I won't watch, for example, Quentin Tarantino or straight out horror movies. But this is obviously fantasy so....we'll see.
The Guernsey book is terrific and so was the movie!
