Every other week for recycle? I would go nuts with all the recycle, if it came that infrequently.

We get regular trash 2x a week (Weds and Sat.) Saturday is also recycle day, bulk day (large items) and compost day. Here in some parts of NYC they collect compost. Which consist of all leftover food and food soiled paper.
